Welcome Dr. Paul Austin

Dear Patients, Families, and Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome Doctor Paul Austin as a member of our Santa Monica orthodontic practice. Dr. Austin was raised in Southern California and received his undergraduate degree at UCLA. He attended Harvard University where he received his Dental Degree and also a Masters Degree in Public Health. He returned to UCLA for his specialty training where he was dual trained in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. As a Professor in the UCLA School of Dentistry I was able to observe Dr Austin on a daily basis and found him to be an exceptional orthodontist. He built a successful practice in Simi Valley but wanted to be closer to his home in Pacific Palisades. Dr. Austin is also an avid volleyball player and surfer.

I cannot tell you how extremely pleased and honored I am that Dr. Austin has elected to join our practice. Dr. Austin is extraordinarily accomplished in all aspects of orthodontics and is extremely friendly and especially gifted with working with children and adolescents as well. In the spirit of our ongoing commitment to excellence, Dr. Austin and I will work together on diagnosis and treatment planning, as well as clinical care. We feel this will be of great benefit to our patients.

I also want to use this opportunity to convey my sincere appreciation to all of you who continue to refer friends and relatives to our practice. Your referrals are not only warmly welcomed; they are the very source of our “life blood.” Thank you for continuing to refer such nice people to our practice.

Office Tour

Our Hawaiian themed office is designed to provide state of the art treatment in a caring and friendly environment. From the reception area to the treatment bay, our goal is to make every visit to our practice an enjoyable one. Located on 15th St. in Santa Monica, the office features a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, from Catalina Island to the Santa Monica Mountains. Television monitors throughout the treatment area are used for both entertainment and education. Our newly designed sterilization lab features the most modern techniques to ensure the health and safety of all patients.

Staff

Every member of our team is a highly trained professional whose goal is to make each visit as enjoyable as possible. The entire staff attends regular continuing education courses and our systems are continually updated to ensure we provide the most up to date quality of care. Our goal is to provide the highest level of treatment and service so you will feel comfortable in recommending us to your friends and family.

What is Orthodontics?

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry concerned with the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. An additional two to three years of full time training beyond dental school is required to become certified as an orthodontist.
